Excellent September 14, 2008
Bought these having read the reviews and have to say am very happy with them. If, like me, you are a novice in the kitchen and looking to replace a cheap set of knives then these are the ones for you. Much sharper than my old knives ever were and feel nice in the hand.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" has certainly proven itself to be true with this product. The knives feel plasticy and don't fit properly in the block. Needless to say I returned this item for a refund with the reason code "quality not as expected".

I have a set of Henckels knifes myself which are absoulutely superb so when I saw this set on special at 50 I thought they would make great christmas presents and what a bargain!
Unfortunately i did not realise there would be such a difference in quality between different products in the Henckels range. I assummed anything from Henckels would be quality. All I can say about the "fine edge pro" set is that the blade is flimsy, the handle is plasticy and whole knife balance doesn't feel right. These are not 200 worth, 50 is more the correct price so just as well they reduced to 50.

There are one or two negative reviews for this knife set and I looked long and hard at alternatives - all of which were very expensive. Eventually I decided to take a punt on these and I have absolutely no regrets. Quite simply, this is fantastic value and I'm very very happy with them - I feel like I could have paid at least 4 times as much and not been any happier.

Having shopped around for a set of knives, i found these ok really. I was worried about the weight of them but if you go to any cookshop your find that most knives are pretty much the same. Unless your buying the professional ones of course! The only thing im not happy with is the block. The knives dont fit properly.
